An undiscovered Gem in Perthshire

We were trying to find a quiet place to get away for this weekend ... but what was found was an undiscovered gem.

We found The Barley Bree http://www.barleybree.com/ describing itself as a restaurant with rooms. It's a perfect description. It is a family owned restaurant with a some great rooms above it ... eat, drink, be merry and fall straight into bed. We were so taken by the exquisite food that we forgot to take any photos, but this was the view we woke up to in the morning.

If you are ever up in Perthshire, near Crieff, there is a little village called Muthill ... there simply isn't anywhere else to stay. A fantastic family run 'restaurant with rooms' ... it's not often you get a French Chef making you breakfast in the morning for the price of a B&B. It really is fantastic you just have to stay.

After such a fantastic night, we headed up to Loch Earnhead where I couldn't resist these two images.
