Sunshine in Glasgow

OK, so here are some pictures that I didn't take (altho' I did post-process them), taken at the Shaws when we stopped in to drop off a whole boot full of toys that they had lent Charlie. Brian and Jane have been wonderfully generous in keeping us fully stocked with toys for Charlie from their Aladdin's cave /toy warehouse.
We couldn't miss the opportunity for a team photo with John and Gillian as incredibly the sun was shining in Glasgow! Below, Charlie resting up after a busy afternoon playing on a trike.
...Ok, so not every picture is factual, this isn't really Charlie pulling his first wheelie, although with some careful panning from John and a bit of post-production from me ... well, it could be ... and I'm sure he'll be impressing the girls at "Ruff 'n' Tumble" for a week or two.... and since we are on the subject of factual images ... this is one of Gillian mowing the lawn ... yeah right!

Weekend in Arran

I got 'round to working on all the images from the weekend in Arran - you can find all the images here. Below, a few of the B&W / Sepia conversions I made from the rocks on the shore at Kildonan, the Mountain Rescue team and Lochranza Castle.

Mugdock Country Park

We just returned from a walk around Mugdock Country Park on the outskirts of Glasgow bordering the Campsie Fells. Incredibly it has 2 castles (Craigend Castle being slightly more ruined than Mugdock Castle) and used to house an artillery battery that covered Glasgow from air raids in WW II (which you can walk around). So if you are looking for something to break up a long-ish walk there is plenty to see. So below is Mugdock Castle...
and after a bit of a walk ...
... you'll come to Craigend Castle, which was fenced off as it was falling into disrepair .
... as you can probably tell from the tree growing out of the ramparts. The park was absolutely fantastic and gave me a chance to try out a new rucksack we bought for getting Charlie "off road" and out and about a bit more. You can see a few more images here.

Charlie on the move

This is Charlie's favourite walker (particularly enjoys it when he has the "tunes" on) and he can normally be found ramming one of the walls !
Other than the walker, he is now pretty adept at getting around on his knees (I would say crawling but it would be better to describe it as "crabbing" with regular rest breaks)
On his rest breaks he's pretty partial to putting everything and anything in his mouth ... and occasionally when he needs to get going with some more "crabbing", he just leaves it in there as a pretty good place to carry things around.
...today, I came to check on him while he was having his afternoon kip to find him wide awake ... but looking pretty relaxed and chilled.

Charlie at Easter

We had a quick shoot to get the images below this weekend and here are are a couple more of Charlie from the same session.

Charlie's first hair cut

Last weekend was another milestone for Charlie, he had his first hair cut and was really well behaved (which surprised us a little!) so I thought I would grab a couple of high key, black and white images of him for you to see. There wasn't any dye on the scissors but his hair did seem to be a few shades blonder by the time we left.
