Popped out for Sunday lunch to the Mill at Elstead, which has completed it's internal and external renovations. The sunday carvery was fantastic as usual and the setting is more spectacular than ever.

Canon 7D
Annie popped 'round today with Matt today to catch up which was great. Steve was, unfortunately, on shift but had been kind enough to leave Annie with his new Canon 7D for me to fire off a few frames on.
It's packed with more features than a swiss army knife - with it's amazing HD video, it's built-in wireless transmitter for the Canon flash system (which works great) and it's stunning picture quality at extreme ISO ratings. Below are 2 images of Matt shot at ISO 3200. Incredible !

The Quays, Mytchett
It was great to see Paul, Katie and the girls this weekend. We popped out for Sunday lunch to the Quays (another great carvery) and I took my little Canon G11 along. The sun was out and the lake was still frozen which gave me an opportunity to capture these images. 
Charlie loves the playground at The Quays but this was the first time he had climbed the slide by himself and "gone solo" on the way down.

Icicles !
Spent some of today clearing the path and our piece of the access road. It's great having the Volvo xc90 as it makes it pretty easy to cut through the snow and we have plenty of it ... the Audi, on the other hand ... isn't going anywhere.

Snow in Frimley
Wow, we went to sleep last night with a few spots of snow and woke up this morning to this. It's beautiful!
Obviously, it's making it a little challenging to get to work (fortunately, we were at home when the snow fell rather than trying to make our way back.) Charlie hasn't really worked out what to make of it all. Let's hope he likes it as much as I do. Here are a few images I made on my new Canon G11.
